HB 2701 HD2   RELATING TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
HSCR 277-00   Establishes a renewable energy demonstration project in the
           department of education that involves the installation of
           photovoltaic systems and energy storage devices in one public
           school in each school district.  Appropriates funds.  Requires a
           progress and final report to the legislature. (EEP/EDN,CPC,FIN)

HB 2566 HD1   RELATING TO THE HAWAII STATE PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM.
HSCR 297-00   Clarify the structure of the State library's literacy programs.

HB 283 HD1    RELATING TO EDUCATION.
HSCR 185-00   Proposes to make the student member of the Board of Education a
           voting member. (EDN,FIN)

HB 2820       RELATING TO EDUCATION.
HSCR 446-00   Proposes amendments to article VII, section 12, and article X,
           section 1, of the Hawaii Constitution, to authorize the issuance
           of special purpose revenue bonds to finance the construction and
           renovation of educational facilities at independent not-for-profit
           elementary and secondary schools, universities, and colleges.

HB 2280 HD1   RELATING TO SCHOOL-TO-WORK.
HSCR 458-00   Amends powers of STW Executive Council; administratively places
           Council within UH; appropriates funds for Council.

HB 2092       RELATING TO EDUCATION.
HSCR 184-00   Allows high school students to obtain college and high school
           course credits simultaneously. (EDN,FIN)

HB 1905 HD1   RELATING TO SCHOOL FEES.
HSCR 296-00   Establishes a pilot project that requires eighty per cent of
           moneys collected by Jefferson Elementary School from rental fees
           for usage of facilities be deposited with Jefferson Elementary
           School rather than the general fund. (EDN,FIN)
 
HB 2491 HD1   RELATING TO SCHOOL LUNCH.
HSCR 393-00   Requires the price of school lunches to be one-third the total
           cost of preparing the lunch. (EDN,FIN)

HB 2822 HD1   RELATING TO SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS.
HSCR 235-00   Appropriates funds for fiscal year 2000-2001 for the School
           Administrator Program. (EDN,FIN)

HSCR 105-00   Establishes an interagency educational accountability working
           group to review agency administrative rules, policies, procedures,
           and practices and temporarily suspends such to support improved
           accountability for educational resources. (EDN,FIN)
